Any registered nurses started a business?

Hello nurses!

Just wondering who has started a business outside of their nursing career. I'm interested in aesthetics and I'm also interested in holistic approaches to healthcare (acupuncture etc) so would particularly love to hear experiences of these....any other business experiences would be greatly appreciated too!

Starting to think working independently could be a really good choice for me but appreciate there will be many hurdles along the way (the first being what to actually train in!)

I know several nurses who dabble in filler & Botox clinics. One of them left her nursing job & runs her aesthetics clinic full time, she’s very popular on Instagram though so is constantly booked.

The only negative things I’d say (from a client’s perspective) is that the market is heavily saturated and I personally wouldn’t want to visit someone who is just starting out for fear of anything going wrong, I don’t want someone to experiment on my face (but others might not mind)

Someone I know also does massage, reflexology and facials. She’s v popular because of her nursing background.
