I sell Usborne Books

Don't do a lot of it but that is the beauty, you can do as little or as much as you like

Is a fantastic time of year to start up as you can sell loads

you get 24%& commission of what you sell and can get half price and free books

can sell to friends, family, pre schools etc

at the moment you can buy a full kit for £38 and you get over £100 worth of books and stationary to get you started

you will , with that, get a full catalogue you can show people

I find it works for me as I can do some events when I choose to

I havent done anything all summer, but will do some events leading up to Christmas to get some extra money

Hope that helps!

Feel free to ask anymore questions

Hi

I also sell books. I sell Barefoot books. They create beautiful books which celebrate art and story. Again you can work as little or as much as you like, but now would be a good time to start, especially if you want to earn a little money for christmas. You can sell to f&f, do home parties, pre-schools, christmas fairs and through your own website. Take a look at www.mybarefootbooks.com/louisewhite for more details.

I'm a usana distributor, paraben free skin care and nutritionals. There are heaps of home based business' if that's your thing. Depends if you want to do party plan, web based selling etc. I have also been selling heaps on Trade me (NZ ebay). A friend sells flowers from her garden (OK maybe a bit too cold in winter) at the local farmers market. Another makes childrens party invitations and sells them...

Give us a clue what are you good at/like doing.

threelittlebabies · 30/09/2007 23:07

Become a Partylite consultant, we sell fab candles and accessories. No start up costs and loads of freebies, good rates of pay and really it doesn't feel like work!

It's helped me to stay at home whilst my ds gets settled in to reception- and hopefully for the forseeable future too.

Feel free to ask me about it

How far in advance do you know what shift dp is on? Because you can manage your own diary

P.S. Let me know if you do find something internet bsed- I would do it too!

louloutoo · 01/10/2007 21:20

Barefoot books can be internet based. You can sell just through your own website. You don't have to purchase any books or do any parties if you don't want to.

Anniebear, how do you get started? Can you make a reasonable income from this, obviously I realise depends on how much you put in but do you know anyone making a reasonable income?

(I can e mail you a joining form, you send that off to Usborne with £38 and you get astarter kit of books and stationary worth over £100)

I dont do an awful lot of selling, just pick it up when I want to

I do think it is one of the better work from home things to do, especially if you have children, as they end up with lots of free lovely books!

You dont have to sell at places, although it is better to, but you can try to get orders from Nurseries, schools etc or get schools to participate in sponsored reads with you etc

I know Organisers that have put money into it, but I didnt really

Once you get some orders, you can get free and half price books for yourself and I built my stock up like that

I did buy a couple of small bookstands, but that was it

you get 24% & on what you sell and this can increase with promotion and bonuses

some people have it as a carrer and do relaly well, others like me just potter along doing bits!

then others find a nice balance, make some extra money and fit it all around the children

Hope that helps and makes sense lol . have also answered to you on the chat sectiona nd given you my e mail ad
