Paternity Leave whilst I work from home?

Hello,
This is my first time posting, so apologies that I am not up to speed with the abbreviations :)

I recently found out I am pregnant, and it is still very much early days, but I am just wondering if anyone can help out with regards to my partner potentially taking full Paternity Leave.

I work from home and I am the higher earner and will continue to Work from Home once the baby is born, or atleast that is the ideal.
I will take the two weeks off completely after the birth, but will then work from home as usual after that (my work very manageable and I'm certainly not chained to my desk 9>5).
I was therefore thinking that my partner could take the rest of the leave under the shared leave that came into force a few years ago, so technically we would both be home together, I would remain on my full salary and he would take the cut in his.

It seems like an ideal solution, but are the rules different for people who work from home?

Thank you so much for any comments.

I’m not sure of the ins and outs but please think about taking a little longer after the birth. 2 weeks is barely anything and you may need longer to recover physically if you have a c-section or other interventions.

Congratulations on your news though! 💐
