Career change

Hello everyone!

Please tell me I’m not alone here ... here’s what I’d tag my dilemma...
I’m really intrigued by technology; AI & all that sort but here’s the problem ... I have ZERO knowledge of tech. Nothing whatsoever. Matter of fact, I currently work as a tube driver; been with the company for 8 or so years. It’s what people generally call a “safe job” good pension & all.
However, with this current pandemic, my eyes have opened to the possible new world well all soon be forced to accept & live with /by , going forward.

Put it this way, I’d like a job that allows me work remotely as I’ve seen quite a number of people so far done.
My question really is “ if I was to switch careers now, where would you advice my starting point is, please ? “
Have you done same? Did you ever regret it ?

The first step is to do some research so talk to people already in the sort of career you are after. Find out what knowledge you need, how you might get it and if it would really suit you. Take your time over this step.

It is easier if you can stay with your current place of work and move into a more tech based work and then make a further step across into the tech area you really want.

If that doesn't work, getting qualifications while you stay in your current job is next best.
