It depends what kind of work you are looking for.

Monster is a good general one I believe.
I am on the Guardian site and I also use a couple of 'mum specific' sites such as workingmums.co.uk.

Let me know what area you are hoping to get into and I'll try to help more!

Myjobs is good. I use mybristoljobs.co.uk

If you are looking in local area try your local newspaper site especially if they do a jobs section. OUrs does them online and sends you details of any jobs that match your search words if you want.

Try local jobs agencies as well - a couple of the ones I've dealt with will deal with it all (apart from initial interview) on phone and online (or exclusively online if you want).

Jobshop has online service now.

reed.co.uk
If secretarial then try secsinthecity.co.uk or seccess.co..uk.
fish4jobs.co.uk
totaljobs.com
clickajob.co.uk

I asked exactly the same question last week

also depending on what you are looking for - local council sometimes has a own site you can sign up for (for every job covered by them - teachers/office workers etc)

I would definately get onto your local council website then to see if they have any care work positions.

Get onto local jobs site/paper to see what they have.

Also see if any organisations around you help with that kinda thing and whether they advertise jobs or whether they use agencies that specialise in that area.

Have a look on yell.com for local job agencies and see if any of them specialise in care work. You can register for several agencies and still apply for jobs.

www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk is the best I think.
