Any Vets or Vet Nurses out there?

My dream would be to train as a Vet.
I know I'd need to get the Degree and how long it takes. I know I'd need to have previous animal experience.
Can anyone give some advice to someone wanting to become a vet, the reality of it.

I wonder if you could simply reach out to a few of your local vets and ask for advice, either by email or over a coffee?
