Career as a customs officer

Does anyone know how one would go about starting a career as a customs officer, a friend of mine would love to this but has no ideal where to start looking for applications etc. Anyone of you mumsnetters know where to start?

Try hmrc.gov.uk. Unlikely there would be any vacancies as the Civil Service as a whole (and hmrc in particular) is cutting down on staff, but that is where to try.
