I so need this job.

I must be slightly nuts, as the job is maternity care assistant on one of two maternity wards at my local hospital. My mum works as a MCA on there and is currently off sick with work related stress but still.

Tbh I am not hopefull of getting an interview, as I don't really meet all of their criteria but I'm gonna hope anyway.

I so need a job before xmas, and this one is local, related to my course and would be great experiance to put on my uni forms when I get round to them.

Don't ask me how i will manage the shifts, haven't thought that far ahead really, although I only want 16 hours so thats only 2 shifts a week.

tiredemma · 21/09/2007 13:56

good luck.

did you get my email? if not my friend is going to give me the ross and wilson book back sometime this week- I will forward it to you.

There was a part time job at Osbourne stationers in Great Barr on jobcentre online- I think it was flexible hours.

Thanks

Would it be really wrong of me to see if my mum knows anyone she could put a good word in to ??

We have different surnames so no one there will know I am her daughter unless she says, and if it helps even a little then it would be good, even if not strictly the done thing.

Scott Arms ( might be a pain to get to though- although the 451 bus does run there)

nutcracker · 21/09/2007 14:02

Oh, will look that up then emma, thanks for that.

Have applied for a job in another stationary shop that is suposed to be opening in sutton, but not heard anything yet. Have also applied to Boots for xmas jobs.

Oh and we have a Hawkins Bazaar opening in Sutton too, and they also wants staff.

Would much rather get the hospital one, but we'll see.

Th hospital one would be good experience.

No harm in your mom putting a good word in- she can tell them that you are reliable and hard working etc
