FREELANCE - ANY ENTITLEMENTS?

hi,

I've been freelance and paying tax/ ni as a freelancer for four years. just had to become a limited company (but crazy 'cause hoping to wind down work when have my first in feb)

a couple of people have mentioned i may be entitled to some state provisions in the six months after LO born.

anyone know anythhing more?

You should be able to claim Maternity Allowance then - the job centre has the forms I think

So long as you have paid sufficient NI contributions you should be entitled to Maternity Allowance from DWP - which is £112.75/week for 39 weeks (unless you go back to work earlier & then it stops)
