Civil service enhancef mat pay

I'm really not enjoying my role at the moment and have been looking for a new role in the civil service. However we are also looking to expand our family. I'm concerned that if I move roles and get pregnant quickly afterwards I won't be eligible for an enhanced maternity package. Does anyone know if civil service enhanced mat package is conditional on you being in role for so long before going on mat leave?

Yes. I'm civil service and i had to have worked 52 weeks over a 2 year period before qualifying week or something like that. Its definitely around a year.

Worth waiting till you'd be eligible as its normally 6 months full pay.

I've had 3 lots of maternity leave with the civil service, you need 52 weeks continuous service to be eligible for the enhanced maternity pay, and must return for a minimum of 1 month if you don't want to pay it back should you decide you no longer want to return to work.
