Hiya, looking for options from social workers and especially ex teachers. I've been a primary school teacher for 14 years mainly in very deprived areas most recently working in SEN. I have been working part time for the past few years and love the pastoral aspect of my work. The jobs market round her for teachers is rubbish tons of nqt roles tons of headships but very little in the middle and nothing part time. My current contract finishes soon and I am seriously considering retraining in Social work especially as there are tons of jobs locally. I have a place on a master's conversion for Jan 2021 but making the jump is scary! Any opinions and input welcome.
