I posted this in return to work too but got no responses, hopefully someone here knows...
Just wondering if anyone knows if the extension of maternity rights to six months after you return to work was actually made law? I can see some news articles saying that it was proposed in Jan 2019 to protect women from redundancy in the first six months of their return but I can't see anything to say it happened.
I'm returning to work in the middle of June and there was already a planned round of 'efficiencies' to happen around that time however this has been pushed back given Covid. So there's now the double threat of the planned efficiencies and the fall out of Covid happening this year.
I know if wouldn't guarantee me job security but I'd like to know if there's any level of protection in place.
