Sorry another furlough one

I've been on furlough since 30th March, was due back this week but obv the extended lockdown affects this. Thing is some staff are being taken back on next week and I feel on the pile. My boss when I rang said oh no we're not busy enough yet errm I will let you know. I'm lucky to be paid full at the min but I feel as if I'm being dragged along and will just be let go with lack of business as an excuse even though it's a usually busy place.

How long can the furlough thing go on until they can legally get rid of me? X

Nobody nos how long it can go on for as nobody nos how long lockdown will last. They can make you redundant legally, but they are doing the right thing right now by furloughing you. You are also incredibly lucky if your being paid in full too, I can’t see why they would do that just to get rid of you, I think you should be feeling lucky really.

Thank you. I'm just anxious because I'm a single mum with zero help from the dads and I know it's a worrying time for everyone but I just hear different things from everywhere x

I no it’s a stressful time isn’t it. Me and DH are both furloughed (no extra paid) and in hospitality so I understand the worry about being let go anyway after all this, but I think it sounds encouraging that your place of work is already getting some staff back in and topping up the furlough wage. They’ve possibly even kept you furloughed to try and take the pressure off you with you being a single parent. Hopefully they will keep you updated though
