Hi ladies , so I'm support stuff and I'm not getting any shifts and I'm supposed to be placed on furlough (HR said) but every time I call my manager she says "I have to discuss with my operations manager if we should place you on furlough or not ". So I said to her "but I need to know if should apply for job seekers or what as I need to know where I'm getting income from" all she said is "I don't know as I don't know myself I'm still waiting for my operations manager to come back to me with information " but that's not a good enough answer as I need to know where I stand ! Any advice ?

Bypass your manager and speak to HR. Ate you on a zero hours contract?

Yes I'm on a 0 hour contract but one of my colleagues is on the same boat as me and she is on furlough so I'm confused as to why they need to discuss if I should be put on it. Surely this is unfair as I don't know where I stand
