Been in a residential care setting job as a carer for over 6 years. Got on fine kept my head down and get on well with the residents. Had a phone call today frpm manager who informed me there has been a investigation opened due to a anonymous whistleblowing accusing a member of staff of sexual activity with a client. I am one of 8 people in a group of 45 employees being questioned as the accuser stated it was a long term member of staff. I was asked 20 questions regarding how i operate with the clients in their own rooms and during personal care etc l. I answered honeslty but got upset as i couldn't belive it. Manager could not definitively sat if it was a accusation about me personally and i started crying my eyes out. Obviously i have not done this but i am sick to the stomach at the thought of it all. I honestly belive it to be malicious and could put money on i not being true. She couldnt give me a date as to when it would all be resolved. Im not in work till friday but can honestly say im dreading it. Any advise on how to go forward? Stupidity im not in a union
