Is anyone a 111 call handler?

I'm considering applying for a job as a 111 call handler. Are there any of you here? What is the career progression like? Is there pressure to work over time? Do you get paid more for unsocial hours and if so what and when are the unsocial hours? Thanks!

I am not. But a lot of my colleagues are (as I work in a call centre in the healthcare sector). My understanding is that the enhancements are or were good if you're up for working nights and that sort of thing but the standard rate isn't so good. The people who came to my place from 111 came because the enhancements stopped and they started laying people off. I think they over did it as a few people have gone back now due to pay offers, etc. Some of our clinical staff ping between the two semi-regularly when they get fed up with one place. The private company who run the 111 Office near me couldn't persuade me to work for them personally. I've worked for them before in another role and they were awful.
