sick pay?

I started a new job on the 2nd January this year.

I work part-time (3 days a week). I earn around £400p/w.

Last week, symptoms of my PTSD re-emerged, mainly due to coronavirus lockdown situation. I struggled on working from home, but my work involves a lot of emotionally distressing content, which I admit I am finding extremely difficult to do at home - phone calls to vulnerable people basically.

So I tried to carry on. However, my partner was aware that I was becoming ill again, and insisted i go to GP. I went to GP who suggested I was signed off for 2 weeks. He wrote me a fit note, and I sent it to my boss.

I am now wondering what will happen with pay. I have not been paid on the day I usually get paid.

Will I get Statutory Sick Pay? If yes - when do I get that from - will I get the full amount for the second week of sickness? Or do the 4 consecutive days cover the days of week 1 (even though I only work 3 days?)

I am in a bit of a mess. This company isn't the most professional, and I feel like I have really been viewed as weak for being signed off.

Can anyone help?

You missed 3 days work which were your waiting days. You get nothing for this if this is your first sickness since starting.
Next week you should get SSP of @ £95 plus you may get a bit of tax back. Your employer sorts it and pays it via your usual wage process.
