My colleague never stops talking

Someone who recently joined our small team at work talks all the time, mainly about herself and her family. I enjoy chatting to my colleagues but I am finding it impossible to get any work done as I can't concentrate.

I have tried dropping hints by putting my headphones on but it doesn't stop her, I don't know what to do as I don't want to seem rude.

I have a colleague at work who is extremely loud and never stops talking. Luckily I don't work closely with him but when our paths cross I distance myself.

I would suggest giving very short answers to any questions they ask you as to not keep the conversation rolling. Failing that, just be honest and tell them that you'd like to chat but you're very busy
