Part time worker second job furlough question

Confusing sorry.

Currently on a 21 hour contract. I’ve been furloughed. I’ve been looking for either a new full time job or an additional part time job for a while due to needing to earn more.

I’ve been offered a part time supermarket job - temporary initially.

Had my furlough email and it says if I work elsewhere I will lose my money from my main job.

I suppose what I am asking is... can I be furloughed from a part time job but still do another part time job as long as my total hours don’t go above full time?

I will be looking to keep the second job if possible as I have no opportunity to up my hours in my main job.

You can have two jobs and be furloughed from one but you can't take on a new job during your furlough leave (which is what you seem to be proposing)

I’ve been looking into this, as I wanted to work to keep my salary up. You can’t work for a new employer on PAYE basis if you’re furloughed. You can volunteer or do training but that’s it.
Crap timing if you were about to do it before this all happened.

You can work elsewhere, you just cant do any work for current employer whilst furloughed

I have been told I am allowed to seek another job while furloughed, but it must not be during hours I would have usually been working for first job, or I lose the furlough payment.

No - only if you already had the second job. The rules state that you can only volunteer or do training during furlough.
