Sick pay

I was just wondering if anyone could help me, I have gone off sick today (not due to coronavirus) and will probably be off for a month. I get sick pay from 4 months onwards and my 4 months at work will be in two weeks time. I know up until that date I will only receive ssp but does anyone know if my enhanced sick pay will kick in after those two weeks or as I’m already off sick is this not how it works? Thankyou

The devil will be in the detail of your contract.

I haven’t actually got a contract!

Are you on probation? Are you worried about not passing that?

If you haven’t got a contract (why not?) how do you know you suddenly get enhanced sick pay?

Without being too outing I work for local government so everyone is entitled to sick pay at the same stage! I actually work in hr so no the absence policy as well.
I have passed my probationary period, don’t really want to go into details of why I will be off as don’t want to get recognised!

This will depend on your employer's policies, it won't be the first time it has come up. They will do what they did last time and the time before.
