Go back full time or part time?

My maternity ends next week however I’ve been made redundant (quite pleased actually). I got a decent settlement agreement which would see me until December 2020. My 9 month old starts nursery soon going 2x full days a week. I’ve just started browsing jobs and there aren’t many that are part time. There are so many that are full time and seem what I want to do, however I really don’t want to go back full time. I can’t imagine working 9-5pm then coming home to look after my baby, cook, clean .. etc! But if I can’t find a part time job then I might have to result in going back full time. How is it for anyone who works full time with a baby? How do you have time to do stuff. Also I’m worried once I start my new job my little one will get ill constantly and my new job won’t take me seriously whenever I need to take time off to look after him...

Part time work is easier when you have children from a childcare point of view but I think it depends on your finances after December 2020.
