Cried at new job

Just that really . Two weeks in. A few staff off so I had no trainer. Made it clear I was not fully trained and not comfortable on my own. Manager pulled a face at me and said don’t panic.

So after the morning meeting I had a cry in the toilets which I think was noted. Apparently a few things were said about me .

It’s a job where you are totally on show public speaking , leading people places . Lots of things can and do go wrong .

I just feel like such a wally for Crying. The job is well out of my comfort zone and I’m only a temp I just desperately need the money.
Can anyone relate / had a similar experience .

So you think it was noticed - has anyone asked you if they can help you with anything? What are you struggling with - can you make a wee list and ask someone for clarification/help?

If it helps I have often had to have an emotional moment in the loos at work.

I normally talk about my adhoc recurring eye irritation if my red eye is mentioned.

I am a horribly emotional person who cries at conflict.

Now back to the point - while you are new you need support and training. Can you email your manager a concise list of items where you need more support?
