How do I write a character reference

Hi all, my close friend has been out of work for almost 4 year while raising her family. She has now been offered a job in care work and has came to me for a character reference however I'm really rubbish at this stuff & haven't any idea how to write her one. 🤦‍♀️
I know I sound really dumb but can anyone give me a few ideas please I really want her to get the job.

Keep it factual, eg I have known Friend for x years. During that time she has always been well organised and punctual. She is an excellent communicator and has a great deal of common sense. I trust her to care for my children and admire her ability to multi task.
