Interview presentation

Just looking for a bit of advice / what would you do? I have an interview next week, and as part of this I have to give a 5 minute presentation. The information is below.

The interview will be approximately 45 minutes long and as part of the interview you will be required to deliver a five minute presentation on any topic that you feel passionate about or inspires/excites you. It does not have to be a topic relevant for this job role. A laptop and screen will be available for you to use if you want to, but it is not a requirement that you do.

So, would you try at least relate it to the role, or just anything? Role is Marketing & Student Recruitment for a University.

Although I haven't any experience in your area (apart from being a student). Reading that makes me think u should pick something that is unique rather than job related. So that you stand out from the crowd 😊

I would make it something you are genuinely passionate about and if you can relate it to the job in some way, that would be better. It doesn't have to be very explicitly that you are passionate about marketing but could e.g. be about understanding how to communicate with people or even social media.

The key thing is how you organise your information on the page (keep it very topline and use images) and how you come across.

Psychology of Marketing is a really interesting presentation subject. How we're 'hooked' by a product or turned off a rival one.

Ok thank you some good input there. It’s that fine line I suppose between something totally true to yourself or something not so but is an opportunity to relate it even more so to the role. I know they’re looking for presentation skills and communication skills / persuasion skills bottom line as the role involves a lot of that. Thanks all!
