It's some years since I did it and I found full time employment immediately.

Know of a couple of other people who've done this fairly recently and have reported both good and very bad things.

Deepending on the geographical area you intend to work can have a big bearing on vacancies.

But at least if you complete the return to practise course successfully, you could try for agency or bank work if there are no permanent positions available initially.

Have you ascertained how long you will have to do and looked at which unit may accept you?

Hi, i am in London, and hopefully am going to do my placement at St Mary's, I have to do 8 weeks clinical experience, and then look for a part time job. Its the childcare that i'm most worried about, fitting around shift work! Anyway thanks for your reply.

I was fortunate in that I didn't have young children to consider.

I did 16 weeks full time (no pay) and funded the £400.fees myself.

Sort of thought that proved I was serious about returning.

Hope you get a nice understanding mentor because you will be expected where possible to mirror her shifts.

I wish you well with plans.
