Retraining inspiration required please.
Dh is a qualified solicitor, but currently unemployed and struggling to get a new job in his area of law.
With savings etc we've worked out that we could survive financially for the next 2 years on my salary plus savings, so I was thinking maybe now is the time to explore other options (he doesn't love being a solicitor, it's really just a means to an end), so maybe start over in something new or even go back to college.
But we're really struggling to think of what he could do that would lead to a decent living down the line. Going back to uni isn't realistic as we can't afford for him to be out of work for 3/4 years plus there's the issue of uni fees .
Does anyone have any ideas for what someone in this situation could pursue as an alternative career?
All suggestions gratefully accepted!
