Quitting, new biz, JSA & NI

Any help with the following would be great!

I quit my job in January to start my own company in September, I have 2m notice, 6m non compete. I'm currently on maternity leave and still have some SMP due to me. Is there any way I can still collect this not through my employer? I don't want him to extend my notice period and therefore my 6m non compete so my new biz is delayed.

Where can I get my NI stamp paid while I'm not working March-September?

Can I claim JSA in this time?

Any help much appreciated

You can only claim JSA if you are seeking a job
Surely you would be better getting a job in a non competition field for those 6 months.

Child Benefit includes NI credit.

Always worth claiming, just fornthat, even if you forego the cash element (or have itnclawed back)
