And if so, how many client VAT returns would you be expected to do on your own per month?

If payroll, how many companies/total employees do you process per month?

And do you work full or part-time?

Just trying to grasp workload expectations.

I’m not really sure this can be answered in terms of number of returns as it varies so much. I used to work in this field and some VAT returns take half an hour and some a whole day. With wages a payroll of 10 salaried employees is a lot quicker than one with employees with varying hours, commissions etc

yes, I may have worded it incorrectly? I am aware they take different amounts of time, but even a round about figure would be something to work with.

I was assuming payroll would be a combination of both for a payroll position at, say, an agency, rather than a dedicated "payroll person" within a company and the poster would clarify that. It was more starting numbers I think.

This is an impossible question

No VAT return or payroll is the same, some are very easy, some are very complicated with a a lot more the process

My staffs workload vary considerably
