I've been out of work for 9 years. How do I get back in? I'd like to work as a support worker but not sure the avenues to go down.

Can you start volunteering and make some contacts and connections there?

That makes sense! I wouldn't mind doing that but it's the cost of childminders that would be the issue.

I’m a support worker and my job was taken on with no experience necessary, just the right attitude and being keen to learn etc. What sort of area are you wanting to work in? Ie children, adults etc?
I think some agencies will take you on with little experience but give you basic training etc.
Good luck!!

What agencies are good to approach? I'd like to work with children. I hoping to do a degree in children and education in September.

It depends on your area that you live in. Have you tried looking at indeed.com? They’re a really good job seekers website.
I work with children and it’s very rewarding. That’s amazing about the degree! Go for it! Xx
