Temp agency work experiences

I am due to start a temp assignment with an agency for 3 months .

Bit worried as to what happens after ( I am looking for perm work ). Has anyone here had a few temp jobs 1 after the other ? Any experiences with temp work welcome . Thanks :)

I started an 8wk temp job around 2.5yrs ago. I've been extended ever since, in 3-4mo contract periods. I'd love to be permanent and accrue LSL, but the job is great, so I stick around. Good luck with your job!

Hi two experiences to share as an employer :

1. temps who prove them selves are normally first inline for perm jobs. Consider it as a on job interview - the impression you give sticks in people's minds when perm vacancies come up.

2. we have a policy of not keeping temps longer then 12 months due to the notion of the temp starting to accrue rights like a perm employee
