Waiting to hear back from Interview...

I went for an interview last Wednesday afternoon and I am waiting to hear back, I really really want this job!

They seemed really keen but it feels like this is taking forever! I know they aren't interviewing anyone else as the job isn't advertised and they approached me directly after hearing of my redundancy.

Unfortunately I took another job after I was made redundant in December and I am hating it, for many reasons, and I just want to quit!!

Whats the longest you've waited to hear back and been successful?

They may have a few people to interview, then a few people to meet to make a decision.

I had one this morning and desperate to hear back as they seemed keen. Kept checking they had my contact details....I hate where I am so much and just want to walk out!

Its horrible isn't it. Waiting on an outcome is definitely the worst part of job hunting IMO.

I am in a similar situation and been like a bear with a sore head all weekend. In my experience I've always heard back within a few days when it's been good news, but that doesn't mean you're definitely out of the running. Good luck.

Got an email saying they will phone tomorrow with some “positive news”! Fingers crossed!!

Hi all!

Sorry for the silence, they wanted to schedule a second interview last week!

But spoke to them this morning and supposedly they are going to make an offer this afternoon! I also went for another interview on Monday so fingers crossed I may have two to choose from!

Nothing worse than 'almost' gettting it and having to wait in limbo. Even when it's 99%, there's still that fear of something going wrong at the last hurdle. Hopefully they will make an offer this afternoon and you can celebrate properly!

Did they call OP?

Little update for you - so they never arranged a second interview and said they were not going to progress. No idea why but what can you do!

I now have another second interview booked tomorrow with another company - so wish me luck for that!
