I am moving home to a new area, which is outside the county I work in. My boss has spoken to me and seems very concerned that I am going to leave the company because I am moving house. However, the commute does not make much difference to me, and is roughly the same as what I am doing now. Can my boss decide not to renew my contract because I am no longer living locally? I feel my boss has already jumped to the conclusion that I will jump ship, but this is not the case, but I'm worried they'll start looking to hire someone else.
