Hi
I work as an facilities manager - took a step back from working in a huge company, long hours & very stressful environment (taking work home with me - being contactable all the time etc)
Now am working in a small family run place, took about a 6k of a pay cut - but at the time felt worth it as I was so unhappy and was almost in tears every sunday evening at the thoughts of having to go to work!
I'm very happy in my job, have no problem coming in everyday, never get the sunday night blues anymore, it's closer to my house so I can cycle in each day (saving money I used spend on the tube) I work slightly shorter days and am always home in my house by 5pm!
Been here just over a year now - and am starting to feel I could do with some more money and have been looking at what else is out there..
Am torn though - am planning to start TTC in the coming months and wonder if now is the right time to move jobs - my husband said I am so much happier and relaxed than I was before - he thinks I should stay put, as grass is always greener and all that and he reckons if I am going to (hopefully) be pregnant soon, maybe staying put in a more relaxed job/environment is the right thing to do (also have more leverage for requesting flexible working after Mat leave ends!)
I just feel like I am capable of a lot more and could do a more challenging job!! eeep I am so confused at what to do!!
What would you do???
