How much notice?

I've been working for my present employer 5 years. We've been taken over, gone into administration and taken over again in the last 2 years. I've no recent contract and in the last one I signed, I was paid fortnightly but now get paid weekly.

Can anyone work out how much notice I would have to give?

How much did it say you had to give in your original contract? If you haven't had a variation or new one issued (that you signed in agreement) then it still stands.

Usually your notice period is the same as your pay period - i.e. weekly pay = one week notice

2 weeks because we were paid fortnightly. I did have a harmonisation letter I had to sign when we were taken over 1st time round but not sure I signed it.

What was in the harmonisation letter, did it specify what terms were being harmonised, was notice period in that? You need to find that really and check.
