NHS and maternity

So I start my new NHS job next week, the first 6 weeks are training.

If I was to get pregnant next month, would I still get Mat pay or not? I know it's 26 weeks before the 15 weeks until baby is due but does that count from when I start training or when I start the actual work?

So long as you are employed/paid by the trust during the maternity period, yes you'd get maternity pay....
