Hi, posting for advice please.
DH has applied for an entry level role within a local civil service dept.
Application was in the form of an online form with situational questions and then some online tests were sent through for him to complete.
Following completion of these he received an email thanking him for his application and advising that he had been placed on the reserve list for interview due to the high volume and calibre of applicants.
An hour later he received another email advising that more interview slots were now available and that his application was now under further review. This was thursday afternoon and he has heard nothing since.
Coincidentally a close friend of mine has applied for the same role. She messaged me today to say that on her candidate profile it had been marked that she has been 'shortlisted' but that no further details were available. When DH checked his profile it also shows 'shortlisted'
My friend has received no emails following the initial application/assessments.
If you work in civil service recruitment or a similar role, does this look encouraging/are either of them likely to be shortlisted as in 'shortlisted for interview' or is it just a category they have been placed in as interview reserves?
Many thanks in advance for any info/advice
