Trusts and Grants fundraiser

Hi, just wondering if anyone works in this sector? If so how did you get into it and did you do any specific training?

Voluntary work- part time internship for 3 months then a low level generalist fundraising role for a year with some trusts and grants.

Its really hard when you don't have proven income generating experience.

The other tactic is apply for jobs in unpopular locations/hard to fundraise for cause.

The number one thing is know the charity you are applying for and be passionate about them. You'd be amazed how many people don't do this then it's hard to see how they will fit
