Should I chase this up?

Had an interview at the start of December. Didn’t hear anything, but was asked to meet for a coffee with another boss last week (Dec 30th) who verbally offered me the job and said would get a letter with salary etc to me ASAP.
So that was a week ago and still haven’t heard, would it be unreasonable to follow up with them? I’m so desperate to leave my current role that I have emotionally checked out, which is not a good idea I know!

It’s very likely the person doing the offer letters hasn’t been at work since then until perhaps today. I’d give it until the end of the week.

give it to the end of the week. today may also have been a day off due to school inset days. tomorrow will be just catching up with colleagues and ploughing through emails. no work will be done till Wednesday. your letter will be posted then and with you on Friday. unless there had to be a board approval meeting first.

Give it until the end of the week, it's most peoples first proper day back at work today.

Most people go back to work today so give it until the end of the week.
