Homeworking in Travel

Hi,
I'm not very happy in my current job and I was just looking into the options of being a travel agent working from home and as there are quite a lot of companies out there that do it I was just wondering which companies are the best. I have never worked in travel and would look at specialising in only a couple areas or would working in a shop be better to gain experience of sales.

Thanks Deb 😊

Most of the "work at home travel consultant" jobs are total cons. Network marketing, multi level marketing, pyramid schemes, whatever you want to call them. Steer WELL clear. I am assuming that's why the previous post was deleted.

I'm not trying to be overly harsh - but what makes you think you'd be good at this? No experience. No qualifications. But want to take commissions off people for arranging travel? Yes a proper job in a shop would be a much better option, or studying a HND in travel and tourism or something. Or looking at what skills and experience you do have, and working from there.

I know someone who works for travelcounsellors and they seem to be good. You have to have travel experience, which I think you do. It's a franchise but well supported from what I've seen and definitely not a scam

My sister Works for the company named up thread. The photos on her profile are all of friends of hers on holiday - are you well connected enough and happy to use your contacts? From what I can gather it’s more of a pocket money job then a career and very MLM in its “woooohoooo! We are great! We can work from anywhere” type postings...
