advice needed please gp told dh he should be on sick but what would we get?

we have a mortgage, and dh will only get ssp (£60ish i think) will we get a top up from income surport? theres me and two kids,cos been told cos we get working familys tax credit we wont get any thing. how can dh go on sick with no money? please some one help us

try entitledto.com (or .co.uk) think your TC should go up though if the income goes down

I could be wrong but if your DH is still employed you can't claim income support, you may need to look into incapacity benefit which pays out to long term sick people.
Citizens advice will be able to advise you better
