Job guranteed after a career break NHS

I've read conflicting info about jobs not being guranteed if you take a career break and just wondering what other people experienced after returning from a career break. I don't mind if i get a different job on the same band

I think the info at my trust says they give you an equivalent job but can offer you a job one band higher or lower if there are none available. However they can't recruit someone permanent to the post so you would assume the job would be available. Does your trust have a policy you can get hold of?
