I've been made redundant from my old job. I just finished today. In the meantime, I believe I'm going to get another job offer next week at some point. Baby will arrive on 9 December.
We've not discussed start dates but I said the soonest I could start is April 2020 and they continued with the process anyways.
Is starting a new job after 4 months of mat leave realistic?
Should I ask for a later start date?
Should I propose part-time for first 2-3 months?
Or, should I just let it go...?
I had always planned to stay home with baby at least 6 months. It's just my dream job which is why I am considering it...
I'm just seeing if there is anything I could do to make this work. Any suggestions welcome.
I am so sad to turn it down after such an overwhelming emotional departure from the last company which I worked at for 5 years.
What would you do/say if you were me?
