Changing health board A/L question

Annual leave runs April to March. If I leave a health board in January after taking all annual leave, does my entitlement carry over so it renews in April as an NHS employee or will I be deducted in January wage as its been all used up but hasn’t actually accumulated yet in total and leave me short in wages and would I have any entitlement in new post between jan - April?

Hope that makes sense I rewrote it tons before posting! Both health boards are under NHS Scotland if that helps.

Thanks very much in advance :)

Don’t take my word for it but logic to me would suggest you would be deducted from salary by this trust and have an allowance with the next trust calculated on the remaining leave year.

I’ve never worked for the NHS though.

You would be deducted the money for the annual leave you hadn’t accrued from your final salary with the board you are leaving.
Then in the new job you would have what you are entitled from January to April to take as annual leave.
So yes you will be short in wages but have more annual leave to take.
