Hi all,
Does anyone know from what weeks your employer works out your rough earnings for the statutory maternity pay eligibility to see whether your entitled to the flat rate or 90%of it's less. Just to make sure I work extra if I can between these weeks 😄😂

Thanks

It’s the 8 weeks leading into the 15th week before your due date.

Hi thanks so much for your reply. So if I'm due in the middle of may this would mean that my maternity pay would be worked out between the middle of december until round about the start of February?

Don’t know without looking at a calendar and counting weeks. Here’s the government SMP calculator, put your dates in and it should tell you what you need to know.

Weeks 17 to 25.

I think it's what you are PAID between weeks 17-25 so if you are paid in arrears you may want to start working extra before week 17
