Underpaid again!

I've been underpaid for the second month running, I let my employer know last month and was assured the missing wages would be in with this months pay but not only have I not had that but I've been underpaid again I am furious and ready to hand in my notice at this point.

Is there any thing that I can do to get my full wages paid this month rather than wait until next month? I have fired off an email regarding the issue but I know they will try and fob me off and I can't afford to be underpaid again, I don't think they understand I have bills to pay oh and sort out Christmas presents too.

If they don’t sort it out for you to be definitely in the next pay day is there someone higher you can contact? My company has a helpline for payroll so something like that? If not just anyone higher

Are you paid monthly or weekly? I was underpaid monthly once and claimed hardship - ie it was going to make paying the rent very hard and they discovered they run a second pay run not long after the official one to correct payments.

In terms of getting it right for next time go to HR - do you have a hot line and find out how you can ensure you are paid correctly next time - ask what went wrong - payroll mistake or incorrect shifts/hours submitted

I was unpaid 4 weeks holiday at the end of my maternity leave which I was relying on for the first month's nursery fees. My company did an immediate transfer for the amount minus 32% tax and NI contributions and then adjusted it in my next month's pay (it showed as an advance)

I had the same issue you need to go above your manager now and complain to his manager. Then if it’s not paid next time to the manager above him. They finally got it right when I was emailing the director of the UK management.

Thanks for the replies, still not quite sorted out but it's hopefully going to be in next months pay ... we shall wait and see and if it isn't I will be contacting the higher ups.

What line of work are you in? I know this can be very distressing as most people have bills and commitments etc. would those people who are fobing you off be keeping quiet if they were in your situation and found themselves being mucked around?? The answer to that is a big fat NO! People go to work for one reason only and that's to get paid. I found myself in your position many years ago and when I called my boss to deal with the issue he fobbed me off also and so I told him there and then that I was going to withdraw my labour and not come back to work until I got correctly paid. 3 hours later I got a phone call from him whilst I was at home and he told me that a Cheque was ready and waiting for me to collect immediately and I received an apology!
