Risk Assessment on work outing

Hi

We are having a xmas do this year and are attending an event place for a couple of hours before going out for dinner. There are more than 5 of us.
Trying to figure out what we need to do is driving me nuts!
We won't be coming from work but going from home straight to the event, and will be going home after dinner.
Do we have to do risk assessments? I've asked the venue for a copy of theirs but not got a response at all. Surely we don't do risk assessments for dinner places? I'm so confused! But obviously we are responsible employers and want to get this right.

Thank you

Why wouuld you think you would have to do a risk assessment for people to go out for a Christmas Meal ? Confused

Am interested in what sort of "event" you are making them do before their Christmas dinner. Confused

It is a private function. What work related activity would you be doing to warrant an assessment? swinging off the chandeliers whilst typing?

Oh I agree, but I wanted to check as it's in work time. And I can't find an answer. The event is escape room

I can imagine very few things I would less than to do a work event at an Escape room! Is this your Christmas do?

Your comment is entirely unnecessary. Yes it is. Chosen as a group.
