Any PAs out there?

I've been offered a job as a PA/personal assistant - This is a career change for me though I have previously carried out a lot of relevant tasks to this job e.g. taking minutes, arranging events etc. A little nervous as this is a new role for me and don't know what to expect.

Any other PAs out there.... do you enjoy your job? What are the pros/cons? Any tips?

TIA X

P.s. the role is within public sector

Not an EA/PA any more but 99% of the time I loved it. Having a good working relationship with your boss is really really important. They need to trust that you are organized and your work is quality.

Being able to anticipate needs/problems also helps massively.

Developing an understanding of the wider business would also help (i.e if you're PAing for a Director/Department Head - know how they interact with other areas of the organisation)
