Jobs after Nursing ?

Hi, just looking for any nurses who have left nursing and what you do now ?
I've been in Nursing for 16 years and feeling more and more exhausted and fed up by it.
Dealing with stress, aggression, anger in a daily basis.
I'm currently on a Band 6 and left a Band 7 as too full time and too stressful. Stressed in my Band 6 but not sure I could afford to drop any more financially.
My husband thinks I should stick it out as it'll be a good pension. Will it though ? I've had 2 mat leaves and a break in service ?

Any advice would be massively appreciated. Thank you 😊

@Woofsaidtheladybird I wonder if you would be able to forward on the info you mentioned, that would be so helpful.
I've had a look at the university vacancies but haven't seen any jobs that would be suitable but going to email the lecturers today.
Thanks for suggestion.

NHS Jobs is the place to look, but the timing isn't great at the minute. NHS England is having a massive re-shuffle and CCGs are merging so there will be quite a few people without a job and on the lookout for something else. Primary care is also quite unsettled due to the emergence of Primary Care Networks, so again no jobs here either just yet. Things will settle down though, but I'd perhaps wait until the dust has settled after the general election before looking. The role I am in would be at risk if the tories were re-elected, yet if Labour get in then it's a testing time for CCGs...so sit tight.

Thanks @alwayscauseastir I'm in Edinburgh so I wonder if this also effects Scotland ?
We are governed by the SNP and it looks as though the SNP are going to get in again but you never know ?
Will keep looking.
I saw a really interesting post on our job vacancies website yesterday so going to chat to the manager to get some more information and hopefully apply.
Also looking into roles in the university but all these roles want you to have a masters / teaching certificate.

Hi OP, I love my politics but I have to say I've no idea about Scottish politics. But for an example, when the Tories got in they didn't like PCT's and changed them into CCG's. So if labour get back in, do we revert back to PCT's? It's all so up in the air that I'm sitting tight until I know where the land lies.

If you go to mypension.sppa.gov.uk and register you should be able to see a detailed expectation for your pension

Thanks @alwayscauseastir nothing feels very certain at the moment.
Lots of big promises from everyone.
