Interview for Debt Management/Recovery officer at Council

I have my first interview in over 10 years on Friday. The nerves are kicking in!
I currently work in an admin/IT role in the Council & this interview is for a Debt management Officer, dealing with the collection of Council Tax debt & Housing Benefit overpayments. The section I currently work in is under review, already my line manager has been redeployed & there's rumours of more cuts.
Just wondering if anyone has recently had an interview for this type of post at a Council & can give any tips/pointers. Thanks.

Interview questions will likely be competency based, look at the key skills detailed as part of the application form and have a work placed example for each of them.

Just relax and show your personality (they are often trying to judge if you'll fit into the team) Smile

And Good Luck!
