Upping my hours

Hi, just after some thoughts on my current situation please.
I returned to work in July when LO was 9 months old, he's now 13 months old, and I'm not getting on with my Current Job.
I'm a nurse, and I'm now looking to move department.
I currently do 23 hours, but thinking about upping to 30 hours, making it 3 10 hour shifts a week.
I don't really want to up my hours, but I'm thinking long term, about another baby in the next year and mat pay.

Im just about managing on 23 hours so an extra 7 hours would help, but it means being away 3 days instead of 2 days at present.

At the moment my OH is not working due to ill health, and looks it'll be that way for quite a few months now.
My mum looks after LO on a wednesday, and then OH and MIL on a Monday, if I was to take a third day, it means he would have to go to nursery eventually on the third day of OH got back to work, and I would have to let MIL have him on a Monday, (which I'm not too happy about but that's another story!)
Sorry its a long one...
So up my hours, or just get by doing 2 days a week?
